Purpose of Job

The Compliance Specialist collaborates with both internal and external clients to ensure that all projects and events are executed and delivered according to clients’ guidelines and industry regulations.  A subject matter expert on life science regulations world-wide, he guides and advises on best practices, keeping a keen eye on the profitability of Compliance projects he is assigned to.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Supports internal and external clients (meeting owners) in translating compliance requirements into deliverables and manages clients’ expectations;
  • Communicates directly with meeting owners and other client contacts to support them with required operational due diligence during interactions with external stakeholders;
  • Manages clients’ event/engagement approval processes by creating and submitting the required documentation;
  • Drafts consulting agreements following standardized templates;
  • Collects and organizes required documentation for reporting and audits;
  • Manages financial reports according to clients’ and industry compliance requirements and country spend limits (Data review and reporting to external client);
  • Maintains awareness of Industry Compliance policies and potential impact on stakeholder engagements and 3rd party vendors;
  • Supports in developing and implementing communication strategies and training; programs to educate colleagues on compliance within Meeting and Events and external stakeholder engagements.

 Compliance Projects (i.e. HCP Management Projects)

  • Monitor and diligently oversee the financial process during various phases of the project and proactively inform involved parties;
  • Proactively communicate to ensure Clients are up to date with the status of the project;
  • Prepare and maintain budgets throughout the life-cycle of each project;
  • Maximize profitability of projects;
  • Conduct post event debrief with clients and where relevant, take appropriate actions;
  • Develop and maintain client relationships at every phase of the project life cycle

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Preferably at least 3 years of working experience within a dynamic business organization
  • Comfortable in initiating contacts with potential clients
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong administrative skills, analytical and pays attention to details
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly
  • Collaborates well with others
  • Possesses an agile learning mindset and continuously seeks to contribute to team development
  • Strong affinity working with (government/compliance) regulations, systems, processes, and tools
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience in business analysis and /or finance is a plus
  • Previous experience working in Quality/Compliance is a plus
